      2. Alopecia Areata

      • This condition occurs when stress prompts the immune system to target hair follicles, resulting in **patchy hair loss.
      • Hair can fall out suddenly in small, round patches.
      • In severe cases, it may result in total baldness (alopecia totalis).
      • Although stress is a key factor, genetics and immune disorders also contribute.

      3. Trichotillomania (Hair-Pulling Disorder)

      • This psychological condition involves individuals pulling out their own hair due to stress, anxiety, or frustration.
      • This behavior can lead to thinning hair or bald spots over time.

      Can Stress-Related Hair Loss Be Reversed?

      Yes! If stress is the primary culprit, hair generally regrows once the stress diminishes. Here are some helpful strategies:

      ✅ Manage stress – Engage in meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises.
      ✅ Eat a nutritious diet – Ensure you’re getting enough protein, iron, and essential vitamins.
      ✅ Get adequate sleep – Lack of sleep exacerbates stress and hair loss.
      ✅ Avoid harsh hair treatments – Minimize heat styling and chemical processes.
      ✅ Consult a doctor – If hair loss is excessive, a dermatologist can provide treatment options.
